Descendant of the Van Cleef dynasty, son of Jack Van Cleef, Olaf is a counselor on high range jewellery at Cartier since 1982. In-charge of Cartier mission in India on several occasions between 1989 and 2002, Olaf Van Cleef has published an essay entitled "From Darjeeling to Pondicherry". (Paris, Le Semaphore, 1998)
